PHILOSOPHY
My general orientation is psychodynamic, grounded in a relational understanding of human development and functioning. I believe that we are shaped by the interaction of our biology, experiences, relationships, and broader social context.
Within that foundation, I integrate behavioral and skills-based approaches, including elements of cognitive-behavioral and acceptance-based therapies. This allows therapy to be both exploratory and practical—supporting insight while also building concrete tools for navigating daily life.
In work with athletes and high performers, I often incorporate principles from sport science and performance psychology, including:
- Emotional regulation and attentional control
- Behavioral consistency under pressure
- Values-driven action and intentionality
- Recovery, stress management, and sustainability
Therapy is ultimately a collaborative process, focused on increasing self-awareness, flexibility, and the ability to act effectively across contexts.
